Griswold Public Schools has announced that Griswold High School teacher Hannah McNeil has been selected as the recipient of the Connecticut Council for the Social Studies Excellence in Teaching Award for grades 9-12.

Republican state Rep. Brian Lanoue was endorsed unanimously in a bid for his third term in the newly reconfigured 45th state House District.

State Sen. Heather Somers, R-Groton, announced in a news release that she unanimously was endorsed on Monday by the 18th District Republican Convention for her fourth term.

This almost 150-acre preserve includes a 62.76 acre bargain-sale purchase on Bethel Road from the Dutka Family in February for $112,500, half of the land’s appraised $225,000 value.

These students have been named to the Griswold High School honor roll for the third quarter of the 2021-2022 school year.
